    • Discounted Tickets
      The Upper Moreland Township Department of Parks and Recreation, in cooperation with the PA Recreation and Parks Society, is pleased to offer DISCOUNTED AMUSEMENT PARK TICKETS and DISCOUNTED SKI LIFT TICKETS. The tickets are offered on a first paid basis; the offer is good only while supplies last. Our supply of tickets may be replenished periodically throughout the season. Proceeds benefit the U.M. Gifts-For-Parks Program. Payment for all tickets must be made in cash, money order, or bank cashiers check (payable to Upper Moreland Twp.). No personal checks can be accepted. Some tickets may have restrictions, inquire at the Parks and Recreation Office. Tickets are good for the entire operating season (unless noted). NO REFUNDS! Amusement Park tickets are usually available beginning May 1 and ski lift tickets are usually available beginning December 1.

      It’s Back! By popular demand. Upper Moreland’s fantastic Wiffle Ball Tournament. Grab your friends and bring your cheering section. This fun-filled day is sure to bring out the friendly competition. All wiffle ball equipment will be supplied. $75 per team.
  • Football League - Fall Only
    We will be offering a Fall Flag Football League. Get your boys together for some competitive but fun games. Games are held at Terwood Park, North Willow Grove Park and/or Masons Mill. Game times vary from 9am to 1pm. League champion will receive a trophy and a discount on a future league registration. Please consider playing in our flag football tournament to "test" out our league. Date TBA.
  • Softball Leagues
    The Department offers both Men's and Coed softball leagues during the Spring and Fall. All games are played at either Masons Mill Park, Terwood Park or North Willow Grove Park. All games are officiated by a qualified Amatuer Softball official and follow current A.S.A. rules (some league rules supersede A.S.A. rules). Our seasons typically begin in April for the Spring season and August for the Fall season. Preseason meeting for Spring will be held on Wednesday, March 31st at 7pm at the UM Township Building.

      ONLY the bats listed on the legal list are allowed in our league. Bat list will be frozen on August 13th - at that time no new bats will be added until the 2011 Spring Season.

Parks & Recreation Programs

The Department of Parks & Recreation offers programs for all ages througout the year. Look for special events and trips that we have scheduled for our residents. We also host a senior citizen's club as well as a variety of adult sports leagues. To register, download the General Registration Form, complete and return with payment to the Parks and Recreation Office.

        Extended Care is offered daily until 5:30pm. All participants will be led to the UM Primary School Gymnasium, where parents will pick them up. Fee for this service is $150 for the entire program. Please complete this form and return it to our office by June 18th if you are interested in this service.

        Extra Trips are an additional fee ($25 each) and are offered twice per group throughout the Supervised Playground Program. Please complete this form and return it with payment by June 18th in order to secure a spot on each Extra Trip. Please note, playground sites will be closed on Wednesday, August 11th as all staff will be attending the Dorney Park Trip. Staff will be on site for all other extra trip days, should you choose not to send your youngster.

      A fun and safe place for your teenager to join their friends and have fun. Trip destinations are exciting and will certainly keep your teen busy through the summer. Please see calendar for a complete list of trips. Participants will also have a chance to gain experience by volunteering at our younger summer camps. $185 per week for residents or $225 per week for non-residents.

  • Programs, Brochures, Newsletters & Flyers
    The Parks and Recreation Department provides three brochure/newsletters annually, as well as program flyers. Each brochure/newsletter is full of valuable information pertaining to seasonal offerings. We offer a Summer Newsletter, Fall Newsletter, and Winter/Spring Newsletter. Brochures and newsletters are distributed to all public and parochial schools, are available in the township building and the library, and at other locations.
    • Department Trips
      The department runs trips to various locations at different times of the year. We offer trips to sporting events, NYC, a variety of shows, shopping, sightseeing etc. The cost includes round-trip transportation AND other items as noted in specific descriptions. Check back often to see what exciting trip we have scheduled! If you have a suggestion for an interesting day trip, please contact our office. We love to hear your ideas.

      The department offers several special events for youngsters and the entire family. Events include holiday drawing contests, winter holiday contests, Pumpkins on Parade Halloween event, Thanksgiving “Fowl” shooting contest, and other events throughout the year. Check this section often as events are continuously updated.

    • The Golden Age Club
      The Golden Reporter is a resourceful publication that will keep you up to date on Golden Age Club issues such as future meetings, events, and trips. A current membership is required in order to participate in any Golden Age Club trips and special events. Find out how to become a member and start participating in the meetings and events. Check out the Golden Age Club trips and events sections. There's always a wide variety of trips and events to serve everyone's interests.

      A recent complaint about dangerous driving in the area of Andrea Drive and Russell Road resulted in the Upper Moreland Police Department conducting a Traffic Study.
