1. How do I obtain a copy of a police report?

In order to obtain a copy of a police report, you will need to submit a Right to Know request form.  Click Here.  There is a $0.25 per page fee for police reports (not including crash reports).  Checks should be made out to Upper Moreland Township.  If paying in cash, please bring the exact amount as change cannot be made.  Credit cards are not accepted.

Crash reports can be obtained online through Carfax.  Click Here . There is a $15.00 fee for all crash reports.  Payment is made by Visa, MasterCard or American Express.  

2. What are your hours?

The Police Department is open 24 hours a day/7 days a week.

3. How much is a traffic citation?

A traffic citation is a minimum of $129.00, however, the Township only receives 50% of the FINE which is $12.50.  The remaining balance are fees assessed by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

4. I am going away on vacation. Will the police department look after my home?

Yes, the police department has a program called "Away Home".  If you are going away, please contact the police department or fill out and submit the Away Home form.  Away Home form

5. Does the police department respond to traffic complaints?

Yes.  Please contact the traffic unit to advise of your concern.  We will respond as soon as possible.

6. Does the police department fingerprint those in need of non-criminal fingerprints?

Yes, the police department will assist certain people in need of non-criminal fingerprinting.  There is a $10.00 fee.  If you work or reside in Upper Moreland Township please contact Clerk William Hoffman to make an appointment. Email William Hoffman.
