About the Board of Commissioners

The Board of Commissioners is comprised of seven (7) members elected from each ward in the Township and are responsible for all executive functions and legislative actions of our local government. They hold public meetings at the Township Building, 117 Park Avenue, Willow Grove, on Monday evenings at 7:00 p.m. throughout the year. The Board's regular, or stated meeting, is normally held the first Monday of each month. At this meeting, formal action is taken on all business that comes before the Board; for example, resolutions and ordinances are adopted, contracts awarded, and minutes approved. Four committees of the Board of Commissioners also meet once each month. Issues are normally discussed first during the appropriate committee meeting and then moved to the regular meeting for action by the Board.
