Hatboro has informed Upper Moreland that the West Moreland Avenue bridge project will be starting soon. Motorists will see detour signs being placed shortly. We are being told that motorists should expect to see the road closed in the beginning of January 2026. Motorists who use this road should plan accordingly for a new route and should plan additional time.
This will be an extended closure. This project is complex due to a number of factors including utility infrastructure that needs to be moved before the actual bridge is replaced and then when done, needs to be placed back, it is a project and involves multiple agencies.
Please plan accordingly and follow all detour directions.
