Advisory Planning Agency (APA)

Adopted by the Board of Commissioners of Upper Moreland Township on December 11, 1973 by Ordinance No. 792; amended 6-7-2004 by Ordinance No. 1488 (Title 2, Ch. 6, Art.1, of the 1977 Code - the creation of an Advisory Planning Agency (APA) to consist of seven members.  Members of the APA shall be appointed, one from each of the Township's seven (7) wards, and may include no more than two elected or appointed officers or employees of the Township.  The APA shall, at the request of the Board of Commissioners, have the power and shall be required to prepare and revise any amendments to the Comprehensive Plan of the Township and present such revisions or amendments for consideration of adoption by the Board of Commissioners.  The APA will make recommendations to the Board of Commissioners concerning the adoption or amendment of an official map. 

The APA meets the 3rd Thursday of every month at 5:00 p.m. as needed, at the Township Administration Building.
