By Resolution dated April 11, 1972, The Board of Commissioners created the Advisory Recreation Committee for the Township of Upper Moreland to advise and aid the Board in connection with the Township's recreation program in the community.  By Resolution dated April 3, 1989, the Board of Commissioners approved the name change of the "Recreation Advisory Council" to the "Parks and Recreation Advisory Council".  By Resolution dated May 5, 2008, the Board of Commissioners approved amending the membership to consist of fifteen (15) members with one member appointed by each Commissioner from each ward of the Township, together with eight (8) members appointed at-large. 

The PRAC meet the 2nd Tuesday of every other month.
